Frequently Asked Questions

  • I provide patient, one-on-one digital guidance for seniors. Whether you need help setting up a new smartphone, learning how to spot tricky emails and text scams, or learning to video call your grandkids, I’ll sit down with you and figure it out together.

  • Not at all! Patience is our specialty. We promise never to use confusing tech jargon, make you feel silly, or rush through a lesson. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable and confident, no matter what your starting skill level is. We move at your pace.

  • We come right to your door! We provide in-home service for neighbors in Frederick and Montgomery County, Maryland. You don't have to unplug anything or lug heavy equipment around.

  • I help with almost all everyday technology! This includes:

    • Smartphones (Apple iPhones and Androids)

    • Tablets (like iPads)

    • Laptop and desktop computers (Mac and Windows)

    • Connecting your printer to your Wi-Fi network

    • Streaming devices (like Roku or Apple TV)

  • No, never. At Grateful Guides, we believe in complete flexibility. We offer two ways to work together, depending on what fits your life best:

    • Pay-As-You-Go Visits: Perfect for "one-and-done" problems. You can book a single visit to fix a specific issue—like a printer that won't connect or a new phone that needs setting up. There is no commitment beyond that single visit.

    • The Grateful Guides Membership: For those who want ongoing support and "Peace of Mind," we offer a monthly membership. This is a great choice if you want to learn new skills over time, have a regular "check-in" to keep your devices updated, and get priority scheduling when you have a quick question.

The choice is always yours. Whether you see me once a year or once a month, there are never any hidden fees or complicated "trap" contracts. I am here to work at your pace and on your schedule.

  • Our appointment book officially opens on May 1, 2026! You can easily reserve a visit now by giving us a call, email or filling out the “Contact” form right here on our website.

  • To make things as simple as possible, I accept several convenient payment methods at the end of our session:

    • Check: Made out to Grateful Guides LLC. (This is often the most comfortable option for my neighbors!)

    • Cash: Exact change is always appreciated.

    • Credit/Debit Cards: I can securely process all major cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) right on my tablet.

    • Digital Payments: If you prefer, I also accept Venmo or Zelle.
